FIDE Endorsed International Children and Youth Festival “ChessYes” ONLINE

The Online tournament:
The Online tournament will be played on lichess.org and consist of different age groups: U-8, U-10, U-12, U-14.
The tournament in each age group will consist of two stages: the Qualifier Stage and the Final stage.
The Qualifier stages will be played by two online 9-round Swiss System tournaments. The second stage event (The Finals) will consist of a 16-player Knock-out tournament, based on 2 games (with alternate colours).
The age groups:
• Open Under 8
• Open Under 10
• Open Under 12
• Open Under 14
• Girls Under 8
• Girls Under 10
• Girls Under 12
• Girls Under 14
All tournament participants will receive electronic certificates of their participation.
a. Winners and runners up (1-3 places) will receive electronic diplomas.
b. Players taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the category U-8, U10 (open & girls) will be awarded a free online 1.5-hour group lecture with GM Dmitry Gordievsky.
c. Players taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the U-12, U-14 (open & girls) category will be awarded a free online 1.5-hour group lecture with GM Boris Gelfand – FIDE World runner-up Champion (FIDE World Chess Championship 2012).
